Announcing the 2008 NAD Conference Blog/Vlog
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) will host its biennial conference July 7-11, 2008 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference themes are "Let the Good Times Roll!" and "Together, We Move Forward."
In keeping with that spirit, those who cannot come to New Orleans can still participate by visiting the 2008 NAD Conference Blog/Vlog at http://blogs.nad.org/NADConference/.
NAD President Bobbie Beth Scoggins said, "In the age of the Internet, vlogs and blogs have become very important collaboration tool, and everyone in our community -- whether in New Orleans or far away -- will be able to read, watch, and celebrate conference developments with each other as a virtual audience."
The vlog/blog is made possible by sponsorship from Viable, a deaf-owned VRS company and a Diamond Sponsor of the conference. Said John T.C. Yeh, president and founder of Viable, "The NAD performs critical advocacy that has a tremendous impact on all deaf America. We are proud to bring the NAD Conference to the rooms of thousands of deaf and hard of hearing Americans who wish to join our celebration from afar."
Whether you come to New Orleans or not, the NAD looks forward to your participation at the conference. Together, we will let the good times roll!
Together, we will move forward!
