Deaf History Month Virtual Dinner and Museum

Date: April 16th, 2021
Location: ONLINE

Deaf Access Services, an affiliate of People Inc. (DAS), is the only non-profit organization that works to bridge gaps in services and communication among the D/deaf, hard of hearing and hearing communities throughout Western New York. Any revenue we receive for services is given back to the Deaf and hard of hearing community through our programs and services which we have been providing for 38 years.

This past year has been particularly difficult for everyone due to the pandemic. DAS continues to provide services remotely in order for our clients and the organizations we support to access critical services including: interpreting services, advocacy, employment readiness, transition and educational supports for students, assistive devices, American Sign Language classes and training.

DAS hosts an annual fundraiser dinner to raise money to support our programs and services, celebrate our annual accomplishments, and recognize the community and partnering organizations who have made an impact. It is always a fun opportunity to come together as a community; however, in the interest of keeping everyone healthy, we will be going virtual again this year.

Our 2021 Annual Spring Fundraiser – "Celebrating Deaf History" closes Deaf History Month, March 13th to April 15th, during which we will recognize the struggles and celebrate the great accomplishments of the Deaf community.

Our BBQ event will take place on April 15, 2021. Pick up your food between 3:30pm to 6:30pm,
at: 1219 North Forest, Williamsville, NY 14231.
